New Houses, Northchurch

 

These new three and four bedroom houses were built on part of the owners’ unusually large garden in the centre of Northchurch, Berkhamsted. The houses are essentially to the same design, but subtle variations have been introduced to create a distinct character for each house.

 

The design incorporates steeply pitched roofs to reflect the adjoining Baptist church and Conservation Area. A simple palette of materials is enhanced by the use of high performance pine windows.
