Thompson Bradford Architects Ltd was formed in 2008 following a merger between two established practices which had been operating in Tring for over ten years. The Practice combines specialist expertise in the fields of church and conservation work with a thorough knowledge of the local planning context and the built fabric of the Chilterns region. In addition work has been carried out on a number of other building types, including schools, healthcare buildings and sports buildings. Thompson Bradford Architects provides a full range of architectural services from feasibility studies through to contract administration.
Following the retirement of Peter Bradford as a Director at the end of 2013, Bob Thompson is now the sole Director of the company. Bob has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. He has worked on church buildings for a variety of denominations, involving both new buildings and conservation work, and has carried out quinquennial inspections for Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and URC churches. Bob Thompson is a member of the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association and recently achieved accreditation in Building Conservation (AABC). His award-winning work for residential clients has been featured in The Times newspaper, and he has appeared as an adviser on Channel 4’s “Location, Location, Location”. Currently he is featuring on BBC2's "Building Dream Homes" which will be covering two of Thompson Bradford Architects’ projects.
Bob Thompson was until recently Chair of the Hertfordshire Association of Architects, a local branch of the RIBA.
